Our Story
The Magdi Yacoub Global Heart Foundation was created in 2014 to support the Aswan Heart Centre, founded and led by globally-renowned cardiac surgeon Prof. Sir Magdi Yacoub in 2009 as a center of medical excellence that offers free medical services to all patients. From his example, a greater movement has emerged – to push the bounds of innovative care and utilize expertise and skill to serve others.
