Zakat Giving
Many donors ask whether a contribution to the Magdi Yacoub Global Heart Foundation can be made as Zakat.
The Foundation supports the work of the Aswan Heart Centre in Egypt, where advanced cardiac care is provided free of charge to patients regardless of their financial means. Many of the children and adults treated at the Centre come from families who could not otherwise afford diagnostic care, surgery, medications, or follow-up treatment.
For donors who wish to fulfill their Zakat obligation by supporting medical care for those in need, contributions to the Foundation may be directed toward the treatment of patients who have no other means of receiving life-saving cardiac care.
If you are considering a Zakat gift, you are welcome to designate your contribution accordingly. Your support helps ensure that patients receive diagnosis, surgery, and essential treatment without financial barriers.
Supporting Patients in Need
Your Zakat helps sustain the full continuum of cardiac care provided at the Aswan Heart Centre. This includes consultations, diagnostic testing, interventional procedures, complex cardiac surgery, medications, and the follow-up care patients require after treatment.
